About Coach Cam

Sports. I come from a competitive sports background (rugby, bmx, crossfit).  I work as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Canadian Sports Centre Pacific training International and Olympic caliber  swimmers, rowers, and triathletes. This combination allows me to understand high performance culture and practice from the perspectives of both athlete and coach.

Science. I have a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology and undergrad in Kinesiology, giving me insight into the complexities of training and adaptation. This background helps me blend the scientific with the practical when designing and refining training methods and tailoring them to specific athletes.

Fitness. I have a passion for CrossFit style fitness training, in particular seeking success in the CrossFit Games series. Training for CrossFit competition represents the most comprehensive challenge to my abilities. It requires the integration of my education, coaching, and personal athletic experience to achieve success.

I've trained for and expressed fitness in many ways throughout my life and I expect that to continue to evolve as I grow and learn new activities.  Crossfit is one way that I currently like to test myself and is an exciting and dynamic new sport... the past 2.5 years of my life have involved being heavily invested in CrossFit as an owner of an Affiliate and also as a competitor.  My objective is to continually learn and enable athletes in CrossFit and other sports achieve their performance goals.
